The Goal

Their event became a typical “rinse-and-repeat” style reception and it was time to shake things up. We were engaged to take this annual customer appreciation event on with the primary goal to attract qualified meeting planners to celebrate the holidays with the partnering cities in the state of Texas before the end of the year and, most importantly, get them to show up.

That was the initial goal, but now that it’s been four years, we work to surpass the previous year’s event design and guest experience with added creativity and brand engagement opportunities.

The Strategy

Design an event that guests don’t want to miss each year that interweaves current lifestyle trends with our client’s goals and branding to create a few unique and engaging activations that celebrate the holidays.

The Results

We are told each year that the new event outdoes the one before. Guests have come to expect that this holiday event is the one to go to in the industry and they don’t want to miss it.

Each year the list of attendees becomes more and more qualified and our client’s mindset has shifted to “quality over quantity.” As a result of understanding the target attendee better, we are able to use the event budget to create more customized, personally tailored experiences to those who attend year after year.

Onsite feedback includes many ooohs and ahhs at the installations we create, which are often shared throughout their chosen social media channels.

Our unique gifting setups – which range from a holiday cookie bar with client logos and a Texas kitchen pop-up shop to a Griswold-inspired, moose mug station — are always a huge hit.
