Having always been inspired by the transformative power of creativity and style, Jessica made a personal passion her profession leading to the launch of J Shea in 2012.
It’s with her meticulous attention to detail and enthusiasm for extraordinary experiences that has allowed Jessica to conceptualize, style and produce full-service, one-of-a-kind, custom events for corporations, associations, and individuals.
Drawn to a creative environment, Shea worked with the Washington Redskins in the special events department at FedExField. From there, she took leading roles in event planning with the Health Industry Distributors Association and Talley Management Group, while getting her certification in meeting planning (CMP).
She is very involved in her local community and event industry, volunteering her time to produce multiple events to raise money for industry foundations and charitable organizations.
In addition to playing mom to three, Jessica’s events have been featured in publications including BizBash, The Washingtonian, and Meetings & Conventions magazine.
In 2019 Shea was inducted into her college’s Athletic Hall of Fame for the sport of lacrosse, demonstrating her years of hard work and leadership across the 4 years she played at Ithaca College.

What you love about events? The opportunity to create something someone has yet to experience ever before. The creative process is definitely my favorite.
Favorite Cocktail (or Mocktail): Cabernet-all-day. If it’s 70+ degrees outside, I love a good craft margarita.
Random fact! Ready, go! My mom, dad, brother and I all went to the same university, Ithaca College. While my brother and I attended, both of my parents also worked there. You could say life on campus for us was a family affair. It’s also where I started my career in events.
What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekend? The weekends are spent with my 3 kiddos and all of their activities. That time is precious to me. In the evenings my husband and I like to enjoy a nice bottle of wine, eat great food, and just relax because we rarely get time to do that during the week! #momlife
Share your definition of the word JOY: Joy is making other people feel good. And that’s what I love to bring to the events we plan: making people feel joy, because in the end that’s what matters in life.
